A literature festival will take place in Berlin for ten days in September. The festival is aimed at a reading public and is open to anyone seeking a dialogue on the social and political issues of our time. At the 24th Berlin International Literature Festival, 150 authors from around 50 countries will be introduced to each other.

Among the invited authors are well-known voices such as Rachel Cusk (Canada/France), Olivia Laing (UK), Mithu Sanyal (Germany), Elif Shafak (Turkey/UK), Aleida Assmann (Germany) and the Booker Prize winners Ben Okri (Nigeria/UK) and Paul Lynch (Ireland), who will be presenting their new works.
