until 08.08. | #2723ARTatBerlin | Galerie mutare shows from 2nd May 2020 the exhibition Vom Kranich zum Engel (From Crane to Angel) with works by the artist Caro Stark.
Works from the fields of painting, sculpture and graphics will be shown.
Caro Stark’s painting surprises with its immense plasticity. The paintings seem like sculptures. She deals with colour and form, and the result always seems strange. Her colourful, fascinating “flying carpets” mostly show figures and animal depictions, which create their own very concrete reality. This three-dimensionality is created through layered work, painted layers of colour are pasted over with paper of different colours, thinly primed.
Caro Stark also shows her expressive, idiosyncratic, quite colourful handwriting in her sculptures (ceramics/bronzes) as well as in her art on building projects.
This exhibiiton can also be visited as 360 Degree 3D Tour on the website of the gallery, as well as former exhibitions. Possible smaller events in the presence of the artist will be announced separately on the website and by email.
