The work of the renowned Azerbaijani artist Chingiz Farzaliyev plays an important role in the modern history of art in Azerbaijan. Farzaliyev’s creative credo is the result of a deep reflection on human existence, its spiritual values and its historical destiny in the context of its relationship with nature, its “alma mater”.

This artistic vision characterises his particular attitude towards the untouched beauty of nature, untainted by the destructive influence of man. Farzaliyev’s paintings function as visualised meditations on the meaning of life, the position and role of nature and man within the natural order.
