until 25.06. | #3062ARTatBerlin | Galerie Z22 shows from 8th June 2021 at the project space Kimgo the exhibition “Bonmots & Delikatessen” with works by the artists Christoph Bartolmäs and Immanuel Rohringer.
The exhibition “Bonmots & Delicacies” is part of ARTSPRING-Pankow 2021. In the exhibition, the two artists thematise everyday stories, with pleasure and language as their common starting point.
Christoph Bartolmäs, Die Weinprobe (The wine tasting)
Bartolmäs’ works are about the desire for and enjoyment of food and drink. They refer to the culture and personality of consumers in both private and public spaces. The works show different food cultures and the associated differences in their preparation and consumption.

Rohringer devotes his bon mot series to the Berlin dialect and English idioms. These are sewn onto canvas and colourful fabrics and sometimes appear neon in the foreground, sometimes in subtle contrast to the background. They are composed of historical and contemporary linguistic usage.

The exhibition shows the abundance and diversity of everyday togetherness in the present.
