until 28.08. | #0614ARTatBerlin | Aanant & Zoo presents since the 2nd of July 2016 an exhibition by the artist Dargelos Kersten.

No, not any more. – Dargelos Kersten’s work reminded me of photoconceptualism. He showed me an inventory catalogue of all the things he had in his studio. Do you relate to photoconceptualism? No, not really. – Dargelos Kersten’s work reminded me of process art. He showed me a series of small plaster casts that seem to emphasize the process of their production. Dargelos, do you relate to process art? No, not quite. – Dargelos Kersten’s work reminded me of conceptual art. He created a system of all variations of four interrelated cubes. Do you relate to conceptual art? No, not quite. – Dargelos Kersten’s work reminded me of minimalist installations. He showed me a room inside a room, with a very low ceiling, some kind of white cube. Do you relate to minimalist installations, Dargelos? No, not quite. – Dargelos Kersten’s work reminded me of monochrome painting. He showed me a group of bitumen panels that cover a wall from floor to ceiling. Do you relate to monochrome painting? No, not at all. – I spoke to Dargelos for five hours when I was asked to write this text. I came to like the work I was shown. – Do your works have titles? No. – Come closer, see for yourself.
