until 09.03. | #1769ARTatBerlin | Galerie Berinson shows from 21st December 2017 the exhibition “Günter Fruhtrunk (1923-1982): Paintings” with artworks by the artist and constructivist Günter Fruhtrunk.
Since his retrospective at Neue Nationalgalerie in 1993, the selected lage scale artworks are now shown in Berlin for the third time only.
The most famous work of Günter Fruhtrunk is visible on the plastic bags of the supermarket Aldi-Nord: the design white stripes on blue background. He designed it in 1970. But this cooperation was not conductive to his career, because the proximity of art to commerce led to contentions in the early 70s.
Vernissage: Wednesday, 20th December 2017, 06:00 – 09:00 p.m., – Introduction by Dr. Tobias Hoffmann, Director of Bröhan-Museum, Berlin.
Exhibition period: Thursday, 21st December 2017 to Friday, 09th March 2018
