until 12.07. | #4249ARTatBerlin | DIEHL shows from 25. April 2024 (Opening: 24.04.) the exhibition Houseplant is leaving by the artist Olga Chernysheva.

Galerie Volker Diehl is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of Olga Chernysheva “Houseplant is leaving”. The show mixes video, paintings and works on paper related to the completion, ending and transition from the present to the past. Olga Chernysheva is famous for her subtle rethinking of everyday life. Her method is juxtaposing mundane circumstances and unique emotions. She is more interested in random, peripheral fragments of both, the surrounding world and inner life. In the new exhibition project, we meet Olga Chernysheva’s first appeal to abstraction, which, however, becomes a diagram of human emotional states. Work of Olga Chernysheva is held in major collections worldwide, including MoMA (New York), Tate Modern (London),  Centre Pompidou (Paris), Albertina (Vienna), V&A (London), Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), The National Museum of Art (Oslo), Ludwig Museum (Aachen), Contemporary Art Museum (Avignon), Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (Berlin), Neue Galerie Graz (Graz), Daelim Contemporary Art Museum (Seoul), Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea (Rovereto), Zimmerli Art Museum (New Brunswick, New Jersey) and others.

Opening: Wednesday, 24. April 2024, 7 – 9 pm

Exhibition dates: Thursday, 25. April until Friday, 12. July 2024
