Inga Kondeyne’s gallery is one of a rare breed of the galleries for drawing in Germany. Since the exhibition “Pencilparty”( 2010 ) to mark the gallery’s 30th anniversary in its rooms in Linienstraße, Berlin-Mitte, positions of drawing have been presented consistently in the gallery at 10 Carmerstraße near Savignyplatz; the non-figurative aspect has also remained at the forefront since then.
The gallery represents drawing artists such as Eve Aschheim (USA), Hanns Schimansky, Malte Spohr, Beate Terfloth, Sam Szembek, Bettina Munk, Thomas Gosebruch, Christiane Schlosser, Dorothee Rocke, H.Frank Taffelt among others. However, its work also provides an initial showcase for young positions like Hanna Hennenkemper, Johannes Regin and Kazuki Nakahara with solo exhibitions / fair appearances. Regular group exhibitions enable unusual perspectives and idiosyncratic, reciprocal play between the drawings on show. As an art historian, gallery owner Inga Kondeyne is able to offer expert, illuminating information about contemporary drawing in her texts and commentaries.
Since 2015 there has been close cooperation with Gallery Wichtendahl (program emphasis: works on paper) in their jointly used rooms at 10 Carmerstraße.
