Galerie Jochen Hempel was active from 2012 to 2018 with a gallery space at Lindenstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Based in the well known gallery building at Lindenstraße 35 the gallery was at a very center where contemporary art is presented and mediated. The gallery was set over 3,800 square feet and included two main exhibition spaces as well as a smaller project room. Due to the versatility and scale of the space, Jochen Hempel Gallery was able to fulfill its commitment of offering its artists and their work a museum-quality showcase.
The Leipzig gallery space is still active and is based in the Leipzig Baumwollspinnerei, a former industrial site that has developed into a vibrant location where contemporary art is produced and presented.
