They promise a brilliant start to autumn: Numerous galleries throughout the city, in Berlin’s Wilhelm Hallen as well as at the Positions Berlin fair on the grounds of Tempelhof Airport are part of Berlin Art Week.
Berlin Art Week. Art happens here. Every year in September: exhibitions and mediation offers, projects and performances, screenings, talks and many encounters under the sign of art. For 5 days, major players on the scene present a diverse festival programme of contemporary art. Museums and institutions, galleries in the city and at the fair, private collections and project spaces: they all make an appearance. Art experts and friends, artists and curators, Berliners and their guests from all over the world. They all celebrate art. Because in Berlin, art is not only made, it is lived.
