In 2016, conductor Oksana Lyniv founded the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine in her home country and brought together the country’s best young musicians. The war has scattered the members, aged between 12 and 22, across many countries, but has not been able to interrupt the activity of the ensemble, which has quickly become internationally known.
For the benefit concert entitled “Wilni – Die Freien” (Wilni – The Free), members of the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin joined forces with musicians from the youth orchestra.
